Relative Clauses With an Object
noun + subject + verb: the … I …
How It Works
The thing is the object of the clause that follows.
| Say | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Akwụkwọ m gụrụ dị mma. | The book I read is good. |
| Anụ m zụtara dị ụtọ. | The meat I bought is tasty. |
| Nri Ada riri dị ụtọ. | The food Ada ate is tasty. |
The noun comes first, then the doer, then the verb. The verb often has a past-like ending. This is the same pattern as ihe m chọrọ “the thing I want”.
