wee: And Then
Action one + wee + action two (plain verb).
How It Works
Wee means “and then”. It does not change.
| Example | Meaning |
|---|---|
| O riri nri wee gaa ụlọ akwụkwọ. | He or she ate and then went to school. |
| Anyị riri nri wee gaa ahịa. | We ate and then went to the market. |
| Ọ gụrụ akwụkwọ wee ṅụọ mmiri. | He or she read and then drank water. |
The first verb carries the tense. The verb after wee takes its plain form (gaa, ṅụọ) and shares the same tense. To join nouns use na instead.
