karịa: More Than
A + describing word + karịa + B.
How It Works
Karịa compares two things.
| Say | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Ụlọ gị buru ibu karịa ụlọ m. | Your house is bigger than mine. |
| Nri a dị ụtọ karịa nke ahụ. | This food is tastier than that one. |
| Ọ dị mma karịa. | It is better. |
The phrase buru ibu means “big”. Leave out the second item when it is clear: karịa alone can mean “more” or “better”.
