Numbers After the Noun
Noun + number: ụlọ anọ. Otu comes first.
How It Works
The order is the reverse of English.
| Example | Meaning |
|---|---|
| ụbọchị abụọ | two days |
| ụmụ akwụkwọ anọ | four students |
| mmadụ ise | five people |
| otu nwoke | a man, one man |
The noun does not change, so ụlọ anọ is “four houses”. For “many” use ọtụtụ before the noun: ọtụtụ ụlọ. With people you can add ndị.
The usual order for otu is before the noun.
