þar að auki means the same and is also common. auk is a genitive preposition, so it is always auk þess, and with a person auk mín (besides me). Before a whole clause, use auk þess sem (in addition to the fact that): Auk þess sem hún vinnur fulla vinnu stundar hún nám.
þar af leiðandi: drawing a result. It comes after the verb or opens the sentence:
