ברגע ש־
The Moment Something Happens
ברגע ש means the moment that or as soon as in suitable contexts. It puts the following action at the relevant event’s occurrence.
How It Works
The Relevant Moment
Attach ש to the next clause's first word: ברגע שהגעתי or ברגע שדנה הגיעה. The examples below place another action at the event named in that clause.
Read the Verb Form
ברגע שתגיעי, נתחיל uses a future form for a female addressee's arrival. The past examples instead use הגעתי, ראה or נפתחה. Read the verb in the clause rather than copying the English wording.
Timing in Context
ברגע ש is a time connector. In the call example, it names when the call is planned. The wording does not measure the exact number of seconds between arrival and calling, and it does not by itself say that the first event causes the second.
