מאז ש־
Since a Starting Event
מאז ש means since or ever since before a clause. It can connect a continuing situation to the event when that situation began.
How It Works
A Starting Event
מאז שהגעתי identifies since I arrived. The subordinate clause supplies the starting event for the time relationship.
Clause or Time Phrase
מאז אתמול means since yesterday and uses a time expression. מאז שעברתי uses a clause, so ש attaches to its first word.

The routine and friendship examples use present predicates. The not-seeing example uses a past verb with לא. These examples show different ways to describe what holds or happened since the starting event; they do not prescribe a single tense after מאז ש. For the bare because reason in the mistake card, use כי.

Common Mistakes
Using temporal מאז ש to state a bare because reason.
מאז שאני עייף עכשיו, אלך לישון.כי אני עייף עכשיו, אלך לישון.For the intended current reason, use כי; מאז ש instead establishes a temporal starting point.
