The Get Dressed Family

Learn אתלבש, תתלבש, תתלבשי, יתלבש, תתלבש, נתלבש, תתלבשו and יתלבשו. The repeated ת in תתלבש is real: the first marks future person and the second belongs to this stem family.

Identify the Person

אתה תתלבש and היא תתלבש have the same form. Feminine singular you is distinguished by תתלבשי. Contemporary plural תתלבשו and יתלבשו can refer to female groups as well as male or mixed groups.

Keep Lexical Details

This regular example does not supply every התפעל form. להשתתף gives אשתתף and להשתמש gives אשתמש, with their learned consonant interactions. The verb’s actual meaning also determines whether an English reflexive phrase is appropriate. לא אתלבש means I will not get dressed.
