An Augment Inside a Verb
Some prefixed verbs show an internal augment in particular past forms, especially in learned usage.
How It Works
Some prefixed verbs show an internal augment in particular past forms, especially in learned usage.
Υπογράφω/υπέγραψα and επιλέγω/επέλεξα are common examples. The augment is not a productive instruction to insert ε inside every compound verb, and accepted alternatives vary by verb and register.
