Going Regularly and Walking Now
Ходя: go somewhere regularly, walk around, be able to walk. Вървя: be walking or moving along now. (I go to the gym.) (I am walking along the street.)
How It Works
(I go to the gym three times a week.) (The children go to school.)
- Walking as an ability or activity: (The baby can already walk.) (I like walking.)
- A finished trip there and back, in the past: (Last summer I went to the seaside.)
- Walking along right now: (I am walking along the street and talking on the phone.)
- Directions: Вървете направо. (Go straight on.)
- Things that run or progress: (The clock isn't working.) (How is work going?)
When the focus is on the destination of one trip, use (I am going to work.)
Quick test: a habit or a round trip → ходя; moving along right now → вървя; heading to a place → отивам.
