sav sva sve
All
All + noun, in the right gender and number.
How It Works
These words work like adjectives.
| masculine | feminine | neuter | |
|---|---|---|---|
| singular | sav | sva | sve |
| plural | svi | sve | sva |
Examples: svi ljudi, sve kuće, sva djeca. In the singular they mean "the whole": sav hljeb (all the bread), sva kafa (all the coffee), sve mlijeko.
Note that sve appears twice: as the feminine plural (sve kuće) and as the neuter singular (sve mlijeko). The noun tells you which one.
By itself, sve means "everything": Sve je u redu. And svi alone means "everyone": Svi su došli. Do not confuse sav with svaki: svaki dan is every single day, sav dan is the whole day long (cijeli dan is the more usual way to say it).
