पर
On or at
पर comes after a noun and means on or at.
How It Works
पर means on or at.
| Use | Example |
|---|---|
| on a surface | मेज पर, छत पर |
| at a place | दुकान पर, स्टेशन पर |
In speech you may hear प instead of पर, as in छत प. Lessons write पर.
Compare the three small words: में is inside, पर is on or at, से is from. Choose by where the thing sits.
पर follows the noun: मेज पर, not पर मेज. After a pronoun, use the changed form: ओकरा पर (on him).
Use पर for a person's place too: ऊ दुकान पर बाड़ें (he is at the shop).
