সদায়
Always
সদায় stands before the verb: মই সদায় জিকোঁ “I always win” and সদায় খোলা থাকে “it is always open”.
How It Works
সদায় says that something is true every time or all the time. It stands in the middle of the sentence, just before the verb, and it never changes its shape.
| Person | Example | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| মই | মই সদায় জিকোঁ। | I always win. |
| তুমি | তুমি সদায় গোৱা। | You always sing. |
| সি | সি সদায় ভোকত থাকে। | He is always hungry. |
Without a person, the word still goes before the verb: সদায় খোলা থাকে “it is always open”. The verb থাকে “stays” often goes with সদায় to describe a state that lasts.
To say “never”, use কেতিয়াও with a negative verb.
