How to Prepare with Comprehensible Input

Every level has a reading paper and a listening paper, so read and listen to plenty of Greek before the exam. Pick Greek where you already know most words, which is called comprehensible input.

  • Read Greek You Can FollowChoose short Greek texts with audio where only a few words are new, and read along while you listen, a few times a week.
  • Try a Sample PaperEach level has two sets of sample papers. Do one with a timer, then watch the video of a model oral exam for your level.

Bubblegum

For serious learners, Bubblegum is the best app to learn Greek. You learn from Greek you can mostly understand, which is called comprehensible input.

Poppy, your AI tutor, writes your Greek lessons at your level, on themes you choose. Bubblegum's levels 1 to 6 are its own scale and don't match the certificate's levels.

  • Pick “Prepare for a Greek Language Exam” when you start, and Poppy shapes your lessons around that goal and what you enjoy.
  • Start with the Greek Alphabet course, eight short chapters that pair each letter with its sound.
  • Words you save come back inside new Greek sentences through Regenerative Review™, and Anki export is there too.
  • Clear, expressive AI voices read every lesson aloud, with a different voice for each speaker.
  • Bubblegum can't play the examiner in your oral exam, so watch the official model oral exams and practice those tasks with a teacher.
