ниту пак / ни
Not Even and nor
Ни means "not even": Не рече ни збор. Ниту пак means "nor": Не дојде, ниту пак се јави.
How It Works
Ни, "not even". Put ни before the word you want to stress. The verb keeps its не:
- Не рече ни збор. He didn't say a single word.
- Немам ни денар. I don't have a single denar.
- Ни мајка ми не го знае тоа. Not even my mother knows that.
This is the same double negative as in никој ... не.
Ни јас, "me neither". After a negative sentence, answer Ни јас. After a positive one, answer И јас. See и јас.
Ниту пак, "nor". It opens a second negative clause, and its verb has no не: Не дојде, ниту пак се јави. (He didn't come, and he didn't call either.) Write a comma before ниту пак.
Doubled. Ни ... ни and ниту ... ниту mean "neither ... nor": see ниту ... ниту. For "let alone", see а камоли.
Two different words. Ни is also the short pronoun "us, to us": Ни рече. (He told us.) The pronoun sits right next to the verb; "not even" ни stands before the noun or pronoun it stresses. See short pronouns.

Common Mistakes
Leaving не off the verb.
Рече ни збор.Не рече ни збор.Ни needs не on the verb. Without не, the sentence does not say "not even".
Leaving out the comma before ниту пак.
Не дојде ниту пак се јави.Не дојде, ниту пак се јави.Ниту пак starts a new negative clause, and a comma comes before it.
