Sustok ties sankryža. means Stop at the intersection.

How It Works

A reference point. Ties locates something in relation to a landmark. It can be a stopping point, a position alongside something, or the point where a feature occurs.

Case. Masculine examples include langas → langu and tiltas → tiltu. Feminine sankryža has the same spelling in nominative and instrumental singular, but it is instrumental after ties.

Compare movement. Link tilto points toward the bridge. Ties tiltu places something at the bridge as a reference point. Ties itself does not mean into.
