Personal Habitual Past of Bí
Bhínn and bhíteá encode the first and second person in the habitual past. They contrast with analytic forms used in other persons and varieties.
How It Works
Bhínn and bhíteá encode the first and second person in the habitual past. They contrast with analytic forms used in other persons and varieties.
Bhínn includes I and bhíteá includes you singular in habitual-past endings. They do not need an ordinary subject pronoun added to supply that same person. Other persons have their own forms, including bhíodh sé and bhíodh sí; dialects can differ in the wider distribution of synthetic forms.
