How It Works
The second-person singular imperative is often the dictionary citation form: Dún an doras. Use the form appropriate to the addressee and verb.
The singular imperative addresses one person. In many dictionaries it is the form used to cite the verb. Ordinary instructions do not require a separate tú after that form. Irregular verbs still require their actual imperative rather than a guessed present-tense stem.
