The Rainy and Dry Seasons
oge + season word.
How It Works
Igbo land has two main seasons.
| Say | Meaning |
|---|---|
| oge udu mmiri | rainy season |
| oge ọkọchị | dry season |
| n'oge ọkọchị | in the dry season |
The dry season is also the hot season. Use n' before oge to say “in the …”: Ọ dị ọkụ n'oge ọkọchị. “It is hot in the dry season.”
Oge means “time”, so oge ọkọchị is the time of the dry weather. Put either season after n'oge to say when something happens.
