naghị: Does Not Usually
naghị + a-/e- verb. With I: anaghị m.
How It Works
Naghị says what someone does not do, often or now.
| Example | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Ọ naghị eri anụ. | He or she does not eat meat. |
| Anaghị m eri anụ. | I do not eat meat. |
| Ha naghị agụ akwụkwọ. | They do not read. |
With m, the pronoun follows, so the form is anaghị m. There is no hyphen after naghị, because the negative helper is written apart. Here the ending stays -ghị, because na has a second-group vowel.
