ji: Use, Hold
ji + tool + verb: use a tool to do it.
How It Works
Ji holds something and uses it for an action.
| Example | Meaning |
|---|---|
| O ji mma bee anụ. | He or she cut the meat with a knife. |
| O ji aka rie nri. | He or she eats with the hand. |
| Ji akwụkwọ a. | Hold this book. |
The same spelling ji is also the noun “yam”, so the sentence decides. The tool comes right after ji, and the second verb follows the tool.
