bi: Live
who + bi + n' + place.
How It Works
Bi says where someone lives.
| Say | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Obi bi n'Enugwu. | Obi lives in Enugu. |
| Ebee ka ị bi? | Where do you live? |
| Ha bi n'Aba. | They live in Aba. |
| Nne m bi n'Onitsha. | My mother lives in Onitsha. |
For a habit, use na-: Ana m ebi n'Enugwu “I live in Enugu”. The negative is Ebighi m. The place follows bi with n' before a vowel and na before a consonant. Use nọ for being somewhere at the moment and bi for living there.
