Asking for Help
Use biko and a short command.
How It Works
Learn these four phrases first.
| Say | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Nyere m aka. | Help me. |
| Biko, kwuo ya ọzọ. | Please say it again. |
| Biko, kwuo nwayọọ. | Please speak slowly. |
| Aghọtaghị m. | I do not understand. |
Aka means “hand”, so nyere m aka literally means “give me a hand”. Use ya for “it” after the verb. The command of kwu is kwuo.
Say biko first and then the request. Nyere m aka works for any kind of help, from a heavy bag to a hard word.
