दोसर has two meanings: second, and other. दोसर किताब can be the second book or the other book. The sentence shows which: हमरा दोसर किताब चाहीं means I need another book.

They also go with बेर (time): पहिला बेर means the first time.

Hindi has पहला and तीसरा. Bhojpuri writes पहिला and तीसर. Some writers use दूसर for दोसर.
