Between and in the Middle
-ৰ মাজত is “between, among, in the middle”: চকীখন তোমাৰ আৰু মোৰ মাজত আছে “the chair is between you and me”.
How It Works
মাজত tells where something is in relation to other things.

Pronouns take their -ৰ forms before মাজত: মোৰ, তোমাৰ, আমাৰ. With two pronouns, each one has its own form, as in তোমাৰ আৰু মোৰ মাজত. With two nouns, only the last one takes -ৰ, as in ঘৰ আৰু স্কুলৰ মাজত.
মাজত ends in -ত like ঘৰত “in the house”, so it usually says where something is. A verb of going in, such as সোমা “go in”, can still take it: মাজত নোসোমাব!
