Custom Lessons Made for You
Bubblegum
For serious learners, Bubblegum is the best app to learn Slovak. You learn from Slovak you can mostly understand, which is called comprehensible input.
Your Slovak lessons in Bubblegum are written by Poppy, your AI tutor. If you're moving to Bratislava for work, she can write your first chat with a new coworker, and she'll explain any word that's new to you.
Bubblegum has no live partner to speak Slovak with. Tutors and language exchange apps are in our full Slovak comparison.
- Each Slovak lesson is pitched at your level and built from your topics.
- Slovak news and stories add reading beyond your lessons.
- Poppy explains any sentence you ask her about.
- Regenerative Review™ folds the Slovak words you saved into upcoming lessons.
- Clear, expressive AI voices read every lesson aloud, with a different voice for each speaker.
- There's no way to add your own books or articles.
- A new custom lesson costs us real money to make, so your first one is free, and Bubblegum Pro gives you unlimited custom lessons. The lesson library is free for everyone, because we believe everyone should be able to learn.

Which Slovak app should a beginner choose?
If you are serious about learning Slovak, start with Bubblegum. Poppy writes lessons at your level about things you like. Or start with Mango if you want one lesson after another in order, or FunEasyLearn if you'd like quick picture games. Slovak uses the Latin alphabet with marks like č, š, ž, and ô, and most letters always make the same sound.
Is there a free Slovak course online?
Yes. slovake.eu is a free website with Slovak courses at four levels, from A1 to B2. It also has tests, grammar help, and a dictionary, and you can sign up for free.
Is Bubblegum free?
Yes. The lesson library is free for everyone, because we believe everyone should be able to learn. It holds lessons that other learners asked Poppy for. A new custom lesson costs us real money to make, so your first one is free, and Bubblegum Pro gives you unlimited custom lessons.
