How to Say Thank You in Vietnamese

Quick answer

Thank you in Vietnamese is cảm ơn. Add the word for the person you're thanking, as in cảm ơn bạn to someone your age or cảm ơn anh to a man a little older. That is much more polite than cảm ơn on its own.

The word for "you" changes with the person, so you add the one that fits who you're thanking.
