Best Apps to Learn Kazakh in 2026

Kazakh is the official language of Kazakhstan. There it is written in Cyrillic, with 42 letters, and the country plans to move to Latin letters, with 2031 as the target year. Duolingo doesn't teach Kazakh, so this page covers the apps that do, along with a textbook that comes with free audio and a few tutor sites.

Bubblegum

For serious learners, Bubblegum is the best app to learn Kazakh. You learn from Kazakh you can mostly understand, which is called comprehensible input.

Say your friend's family speaks Kazakh, and you want to greet them when you arrive. Ask Poppy, your AI tutor, for a lesson on saying Сәлем (hello) and thanking them with рахмет (thank you), and she writes it at your level, with audio. Poppy explains any line you ask about.

To practice speaking with a person, see Practice With a Person.
