-나
Busan: a yes/no question
In casual Busan speech, -나 asks whether a verbal or adjectival predicate is true.
Hoe dit werk
Use it with someone you can address casually. 비가 오나? checks whether it is raining; 비가 언제 오노? instead asks when.
The ending can follow a verb or adjective and can follow tense material: 먹었나? asks about a past action. A bare present noun predicate uses the -가 family, as in 학생이가?. When tense material intervenes in a noun predicate, the question instead uses -나, as in 학생이었나?.
Standard Korean also has uses of -나. This card teaches its role in the Busan question system rather than claiming the syllable belongs only to Busan. Shared polite questions remain useful.
