Hi, Zane! I see you've already brought out the big soup pots. Do you need help with the vegetables?
Zane
! , , . , .
Hi! Yes, definitely, because we still have to peel the potatoes and chop the carrots. If we started now, we'd get everything done by six.
Mārtiņš
, . , .
Great, I'll wash my hands right away and get to work. Kārlis told me he would bring bread and apple pie.
Zane
, . , .
That's good, but someone should take care of hot drinks too. It will be quite chilly in the evening, so some tea would come in handy.
.
Zane takes the soup bowls out of the box and sets them on the wooden table.
Mārtiņš

I can brew peppermint tea in the large thermos. Has Ilze already confirmed that she'll bring extra chairs? After all, we'll need room for all ten people.
Zane
, . , . .
Yes, she promised to come around five and set everything up. You just need to keep an eye on the fire so the soup doesn't boil over. In the meantime, I'll set out the spoons and napkins.
Mārtiņš

Deal! If everyone does their part, the work goes really fast. I hope this event becomes a lovely tradition in our building.
Zane

I completely agree. Well then, let's get down to it so everything is ready on time!

The two neighbors warmly continue their preparations for the evening.
