wɔn ho wɔn ho (Each Other)
Each Other
Wɔdɔ wɔn ho wɔn ho means They love each other. Doubling wɔn ho (themselves) turns it into each other.
How It Works
1. From themselves to each other
Myself, Yourself: possessive + ho gives wɔn ho (themselves). Repeating it makes the meaning each other clear: Wɔdɔ wɔn ho wɔn ho (They love each other).
2. Match the subject
- yɛ- (we): Yɛboa yɛn ho yɛn ho (We help each other).
- mo- (you all): Monnɔ mo ho mo ho (Love one another).
- wɔ- (they), or a plural noun subject: Ama ne Kofi hwɛɛ wɔn ho wɔn ho (Ama and Kofi looked at each other).
The possessives are the ones in My, Your, His and Her.
3. It needs two or more
Each other always involves at least two people, so the subject is plural. Two named people joined with ne count as plural and take wɔn.
4. Tense and commands
Tense goes on the verb as usual: Wɔhwɛɛ wɔn ho wɔn ho (They looked at each other). A command to a group uses the mo- form: Monnɔ mo ho mo ho. See Commands to a Group.
5. The single form
In context, the single form can also be read as each other, as in the Asante Bible verse monnodɔ mo ho (love one another). The doubled form removes any doubt, so use it when you mean each other.

Common Mistakes
Using each other with a singular subject.
Kofi dɔ ne ho ne ho.Kofi ne Ama dɔ wɔn ho wɔn ho.Each other needs at least two people. With one person, use the reflexive: Kofi dɔ ne ho (Kofi loves himself).
Using a possessive that does not match the subject.
Yɛboa wɔn ho wɔn ho.Yɛboa yɛn ho yɛn ho.The intended meaning is We help each other. With yɛ- (we), the reflexive must be yɛn ho; wɔn points to other people.
