| Verb | Fourth form | Future participle | Meaning |
|---|---|---|---|
| amare | amatum | amaturus | about to love |
| habere | habitum | habiturus | about to have |
| ducere | ductum | ducturus | about to lead |
| capere | captum | capturus | about to take |
| audire | auditum | auditurus | about to hear |
| venire | ventum | venturus | about to come |
| esse | none | futurus | about to be |
With a form of sum it means be about to do something: Marcus venturus est. It also builds the future infinitive for reported statements: venturum esse, as in Dicit Marcum venturum esse (He says that Marcus will come).
The Creed uses it for the Second Coming, venturus est, and for the world to come, vitam venturi saeculi.
