mo chuid

Possession with Cuid

Level 3

Mo chuid airgid and mo chuid leabhar express possession of mass or plural quantities. Cuid is not inserted before every singular possessed object.

How It Works

Mo chuid airgid and mo chuid leabhar express possession of mass or plural quantities. Cuid is not inserted before every singular possessed object.

With plural or mass quantities, a possessive can modify cuid, followed by the relevant genitive phrase. Mo chuid airgid refers to my money, and mo chuid leabhar to my books. Ordinary singular objects such as mo chóta do not need cuid inserted automatically.
