Open Conditions with Má
Má introduces an open condition: Má bhíonn am agam, tiocfaidh mé. It normally uses present forms for a future condition rather than an English-style future verb.
How It Works
Má introduces an open condition: Má bhíonn am agam, tiocfaidh mé. It normally uses present forms for a future condition rather than an English-style future verb.
Má introduces a condition treated as open or possible. For a future possibility Irish normally uses a present form inside the má clause, often the habitual present, and a future in the result. A hypothetical dá clause uses a different pattern and should not be substituted without changing the meaning.
