Future Direct Relatives
Direct relative clauses use future forms with the relative particle: an duine a thiocfaidh and an rud a déarfaidh sé. Initial mutation still follows the individual verb.
How It Works
Direct relative clauses use future forms with the relative particle: an duine a thiocfaidh and an rud a déarfaidh sé. Initial mutation still follows the individual verb.
A direct relative can refer to a future action. Its verb keeps the relevant future form and follows the mutation behavior of that verb: a thiocfaidh but a déarfaidh. The antecedent supplies a subject or direct-object role, just as in other direct relatives.
