Reading Words Without Tone Marks
Same letters, many words: the sentence picks.
How It Works
Without tone marks, many words look alike. Context solves most cases.
| Sentence | Meaning of akwa |
|---|---|
| Ana m eri akwa. | egg (you eat it) |
| Akwa m dị ọhụrụ. | cloth (it is new) |
| Nwa ahụ na-ebe akwa. | crying (what a child does) |
