Northeastern Mandarin sounds close to Standard Mandarin, which can hide its local words: you understand most of a sentence and then one word gives no clue. Some of those words even came from Manchu. A word list explains each one. Catching them in quick talk comes from meeting them in many scenes you already follow. Comprehensible input is Northeastern speech like that, where the situation tells you what a local word means.
What Comprehensible Input Looks Like
Read the picture as Northeastern sentences, one per row, with each bar a word. Gray bars are familiar, and purple marks the local word that's new.
About one unfamiliar word per sentence, while you still follow the meaning.
Once the rest of the line is clear, the scene points to what the purple word means. First, that's a two-line chat at a Harbin market. Later, a whole episode of a village comedy gives enough context to follow new local words. When most of a scene slips past you, step back to shorter ones.
Your Roadmap by Level
Bubblegum gives each of its six levels a line a learner might use about their reading, and the first row covers pinyin. Choose the closest, and treat the shows and podcast as a loose fit, since they have no levels.

Move one row on when the current material stops challenging you, and back one if you need help with most lines.
Try It on a Sentence
Try this short line: 他太抠搜了。 It means "He's so stingy." Chinese Wikipedia lists 抠搜 among Northeastern words borrowed from Manchu, and once you know 他太…了 (he's so…), the scene tells you what kind of person he is.
Bubblegum is a language app where your AI tutor, Poppy, writes Northeastern Mandarin lessons for your level on topics you pick. Grammar cards explain local forms like 整, and Regenerative Review™ brings saved words into later lessons.
