Albanian isn't something you can learn on Babbel. We read its list of 13 courses for English speakers on October 24, 2026, and Albanian wasn't on it.
Our Albanian comparison has Ling and uTalk, which also teach Albanian. For Duolingo, read Is Albanian on Duolingo?
Bubblegum
For serious learners, Bubblegum is the best app to learn Albanian. You learn from Albanian you can mostly understand, which is called comprehensible input.
Poppy, your AI tutor, writes the Albanian lessons in Bubblegum, and she starts from why you're learning. Tell her you want to talk with your grandparents, and the lessons follow that.
Book an Albanian tutor through italki or Preply, both in our Albanian comparison.
- Visiting family in Prishtina? Practice the greetings with Poppy in live voice chat.
- Send the words you save to Anki as flashcards.
- Clear, expressive AI voices read every lesson aloud, with a different voice for each speaker.
- Old letters or a book from home can't become lessons. Paste a passage into the chat, and Poppy explains what each sentence says.
- A new custom lesson costs us real money to make, so your first one is free, and Bubblegum Pro gives you unlimited custom lessons. The lesson library is free for everyone, because we believe everyone should be able to learn.

Pimsleur
Pimsleur's Albanian lessons are spoken, and its Voice Coach listens as you answer and tells you how you sound.
- Practice the kind of talk you'd have ordering in Tirana or meeting a long-lost relative.
MobileWeb

Clozemaster
Clozemaster sorts its Albanian sentences into collections by topic and grammar, so you can work on one area at a time.
- Pick from a few choices, or type the missing word yourself.
- Score points and climb the leaderboards as you play.
MobileWeb

Fabulisti
Fabulisti writes its own stories in Albanian and English, and the app keeps your place in each one.
- Stories come in reading levels, so you can start with easy ones.
- Text-to-speech reads some words aloud for you.

Which Albanian app should a beginner choose?
If you are serious about learning Albanian, start with Bubblegum. Poppy writes lessons at your level about things you like. Or begin with Pimsleur if you'd rather speak before you read, and add Fabulisti once you know some words.
Is Clozemaster good for complete beginners?
Clozemaster's App Store page calls it an app for A2 to C1 learners, so it fits best after a first course.
Is Bubblegum free?
Yes. The lesson library is free for everyone, because we believe everyone should be able to learn. It holds lessons that other learners asked Poppy for. A new custom lesson costs us real money to make, so your first one is free, and Bubblegum Pro gives you unlimited custom lessons.
